FAQS
HANGING HOW MUCH DOES A WHOLE BEEF WEIGH
By nature cattle vary in size so we can’t give you an exact weight, only an approximation. The hanging weight of our cows is usually between 700-900 lbs.
HANGING WEIGHT VS. PACKAGED WEIGHT
• Hanging weight is the weight of the beef before processing.
• Packaged weight is the weight after processing and packaging. This is what will physically go into your freezer. After the removal of big bones, excess fat and gristle, you will take home ~63% of the hanging weight.
HANGING WHAT DO YOU GET WHEN YOU PURCHASE YOUR HALF OR WHOLE BEEF
You can purchase our beef by the Half or Whole. Each type of cuts (steaks, roasts, etc.) is divided to make sure every order contains an even distribution of cuts. Please look over our order sheet for more details!
